Drive-In

There are a couple drive-in movie theaters in Riverside that play new release movies for cheap! So of course we had to take advantage. We got to see Mirror, Mirror and The Hunger Games for only $14! The only problem we had was that those movies were on different screens and they wouldn't let you change lots. Luckily the Swindles are experts and so we just moved the truck over to the edge and asked someone what station to turn to. It worked! We had a sweet setup in the back of the truck for the 4 of us and the weather was perfect!

Clippers vs. Jazz

Apparently, I am not very good at keeping up with this thing. Almost a month ago, we got to go to a Clippers vs. Jazz game with our friends the Swindles. It was kind of on a whim that we bought the tickets and as soon as "purchase" was hit, the boys remembered that they had Priesthood session of General Conference that same night. Luckily we were able to make everything work. The boys dropped the girls off by the Staples Center in LA and the boys found a nearby chapel to watch the session. Kiersten and I wondered around and to go to the Grammy museum for free. We walked like a mile to find this frozen yogurt place, but apparently it closes at 5 on Saturdays? We also had yummy burritos at this taco stand. The game was ok, but the Swindles were sad to see the Jazz lose. It was definitely a fun adventure.
Even though we were in the nose bleed seats, somehow Andrew managed to catch a free shirt from the cheerleaders!

Moustache March?

As many guys do, Jeff decided to grow out his facial hair during March. Mostly because he had finals and then a week off. But here are the different styles he went through.

Jeff with a beard:
He actually went to school like this one day:

Getting closer to normal:

Finally a clean Jeff (only because he had to go talk to a teacher):

What a cutie!

Happy Birthday to Me

Thank you to all of my family and friends!! It was a great one! (Picture is of the yummy dessert one of the girls at work made for me!)

Mariachi Madness in San Diego

Last week, Jeff's youngest sister, Halli, came to visit us. Luckily, Jeff was on his spring break so they got to hang out for a few days and went swimming a lot. After I got off work on Thursday, we headed down to San Diego to meet up with Michelle (family friend who brought Halli to California). We had a wonderful weekend full of the best Mexican food, Mariachi bands, Sea World, biking, and beautiful weather. We could not have asked for a better weekend. I even managed to get up and go running with Michelle, so I stayed on track for my half marathon training!

Breaking In

We were out with our friends the Swindle's a few weeks ago and went back to their house after dinner. However, they thought they had locked their keys in their house... Apparently, this wasn't the first time. Andrew knew exactly what to do, so before we knew it he was up on a chair that was on a trash can that was on a ledge. After he crawled in the window, his wife, Kiersten, remembered that they were actually just in the car. haha.

Let the Training Begin

So, I signed up for a half marathon a couple weeks ago so that I would be motivated to start running. Of course we had a huge rain storm shortly after that and I had a very wet and chilly run.

But I survived.
